Director Generation Projects, Dominion Energy

Rick, Director of Generation Projects for Dominion Energy, is currently responsible for the engineering and construction of existing power plant capital maintenance projects over $500,000. He is also responsible for the decommissioning and demolition of Dominion Energy’s retired generation plants in Virginia. His team has been executing the installation of multiple maintenance projects, replacement projects, new systems, cyber security projects, and the demolition of retired sites. During 2022-2023, his team planned and executed five site demolitions all happening simultaneously. Currently, his team is executing their eighth demolition project since 2019.

Rick joined Dominion Energy in 2001 and has held multiple management positions in his 24 years with the company.

Rick received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee and his MBA from Virginia Tech. Prior to coming to Dominion, Rick’s background was in the coal, natural gas, and timber industries in Southwest Virginia where he grew up.

Rick lives in Mechanicsville, Virginia with his wife and two adult sons. He enjoys spending time watching SEC sports (Go Vols!) and auto racing with his sons and doing small engine repair for friends and neighbors.
